The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
