British Airways to provide free fast onboard wifi via Starlink agreement
Flyers on the airline can soon use fast internet in the air free of charge due to a new partnership from the billionaire's satellite company.

The airline announced that the no-cost, âfast and dependableâ connectivity service from the satellite provider is set to be available for travelers in coach, premium economy, or first class starting next month.

The parent company for the airline, IAG, confirmed it had finalized an deal with Starlink for providing wifi coverage on over 500 jets operated by the group's operators, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

British Airways stated that the implementation for the service was part of a multi-billion pound âupgradeâ initiative and will provide smooth wifi coverage to travelers from the gate through arrival, also when they are flying above seas or far-off locations.
